Zarkovs Rocket

Some years ago a maverick scientist by the name of Dr Hans Zarkov evolved a theory that many of the problems associated with drought, climate change, unpredictable weather patterns and the like on Earth were the direct result of exta-terrestrial interference. To prove his theory Zarkov built a space rocket with the intention of tracking the the supposed cause of the disturbances in the Earth's natural balance back to their source. He was somewhat reluctantly aided in this venture by a couple he virtually kidnapped - New York Jets quarterback 'Flash' Gordon and his girlfriend Dale Arden. To cut a long story short, the source of the Earth's ills was one Emperor Ming (known as The Merciless) from the planet Mongo. Ming was defeated by Flash and we all lived happily ever after and Queen did the music. Zarkov's Rocket is also the only surviving part of Norwich's old City Station, better known as the the glass topped concrete structure by the bridge on the inner ring road, just round the corner from The Old White Lion on Oak Street. Zarkov's Rocket is also Kevin Fiske on guitar and vocals, Robert Child on bass and vocals, Gordon Richardson on drums and vocals, David Scotton on keyboards and Lisa Frosdick on vocals.
